I love boiled peanuts, regular or whatever flavor because they are so good to eat, especially during football season.I also love cajun boiled peanuts too.

I had my first boiled peanut when I was 7,I remember eating them while I watched my hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the 1980 regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati, the Bucs won 17-12.

I always have been and I always will be a boiled peanut aficionado.

I love to make boiled peanuts as well as buy them at flea markets, etc.

I love boiled peanuts. right now i am cooking some in a crock pot first time ever cooking them at home. i mostly buy them like at baseball games. but one thing i dont like about them are they really dont last long. i was at my brother football game and they were selling them i went to go get them and when i first opened the bag it was smelly and slimy. so after that i went up there to infer that the peanuts were old i was so mad i decied that from now on i well not buy anything from a consesion stand unless they are in the refrigarator. lol and if you have not tried them try em now thanks for reading!

I have to laugh - here I am eating my canned boiled peanuts. So I decided to look'em up on the internet and came across your blog. I picked them up for a friend who will be visiting and thinks of them as comfort food. So, while cleaning I wanted a snack and thought I'll bust open one of those cans of boiled peanuts.

Yumm, But, I couldn't help equating them to the Edamame (soy beans in a pod) that I have in the freezer for a quick appetizer to impress my culinary friends.

To me boiled peanuts have a wee bit more savory taste than the Edamame, which has a wee bit fresher taste. Don't know if its in the preparation or not.

But from now on, I'll always think of boiled peanuts as the Edamame of the South. Just like I had a variation of stuffed grape leaves - made w/kudzu leaves and the rice was seasoned w/pecans. Delicious!! Both of them.

I like boiled peanuts, and I'm not that picky about where I buy them. Some are better than others I guess, but I've never gotten ahold of any that kept me from stuffing them into my mouth one after another with a steady machine-like rhythm of gluttony. I like to eat them in the presence of a northerner, because they look at me in disbelief that I could eat such nasty looking things, like a primate that just doesn't know any better. As far as they are concerned, I could be munching out of a wet paper sack of turds. It's easy to see why; the peanuts in the above picture do have a turd-like sheen.

Come on to West Virginia Metten and experience the Pepperoni Roll. Somebody decided cramming a pepperoni stick in a biscuit was high cuisine and a food tradition was born. I guess it makes sense, since we haven't found a way to come up with the exact formula for boiled or creamed coal.

Vicky & Shiny are correct. I never eat boiled peanuts from any commercial source. I boild them myself - very easy to do - and they are fantastic! The ones you had were over salted and over cooked.

I wouldn't put any south in my mouth either...
